A report by our trainee Charlotte Junge
In May 2024, I was given the opportunity to travel abroad for 9 days to our subsidiary PAPERFAST s.r.l. in Pavia, Italy.
I was greeted warmly by Maria, the sales representative, and escorted to my apartment. The next day started with a get-to-know-you breakfast with Maria and Matilde. We then went to the office, where I was able to gain an insight into the company’s operations and activities.
During my stay, I was able to get a lot of impressions of the office. I was able to travel with the managing director, Umberto, to one of his other companies in Milan. This is a real shop for office supplies, copy paper and stationery, and a warehouse for the goods.

There was also a good sightseeing programme. I was able to explore Milan in the best summer weather. Milan’s lively city centre is beautiful with its imposing cathedral, one of the largest churches in the world.
Over the weekend I was given a tour of Pavia. The small, old town is full of hidden gems and has one of the oldest universities in the country. A famous resident of Pavia was Albert Einstein in 1895. Around every corner there is a small church with a fascinating history or a monastery that is still active.

I am very grateful to have been given this opportunity, as it has not only given me new insights into the working methods and culture but has also been a great personal experience.
